Sire: Maluti Toby’s Many Moons [AHBSSA]. Dam: Wap’s Mamma Mia [ApHC]. Born 06/11 at 00h45. Dark grulla homozygous snowcap filly with lightning flashes on all legs. Big star. 42cm / 16.5” from centre of knee. Beautiful, small dished head and ears curved in at top. Lovely neck, throatlatch and shoulder and well developed hindquarter. Long, long, long legs. Very uphill and exquisitely proportioned. The nicest temperament one could ask for. Lots of “look at me presence’’ and a showy attitude from birth - definitely her father’s daughter! Halter trained, leading from both sides and standing for grooming and feet at less than two weeks old. I took her bi-daily temperature and sterilized her umbilicus three times a day whilst she was lying down sleeping and she did not move a hair:) Judging by her superb movement and athleticism at this young age, she has great potential as a top dressage horse and certainly as an eventer :-) She has an abundance of presence, natural cadence and elevation which is very evident despite her tender age. Very brave, independent and active. We are thrilled with the quality of this exceptionally pretty and classy filly - she is a true “Wap” for sure - the first real Wap horse to be born in South Africa! Named after Virginia Hood of JG. Offers over R100 000.00 as a weanling to the right show and competitive home considered. Pedigree. |

Our guarantee to our clients Our horses are bred to be both upper level competition horses and family members. When you purchase a youngster from us, it will be well handled and socialised. It will also be acclimatised to being bathed and groomed, and worked with on a daily basis. Our horses are fed top quality concentrates and ad lib quality grass all year around. No effort is spared to ensure that our foals will reach their maximum potential and be well adjusted in order to lead happy, long, productive lives. We are strongly opposed to ‘horse farmers’ who ‘let nature take its course’ and do not feed their horses - especially the broodmares and young stock. The fallacy of not feeding foals because it can cause leg or joint problems is just that, a fallacy. When foals are not correctly fed they will always be undernourished and therefore will not develop to their full potential, and over time the genes alter / mutate to compensate for the lack of food, resulting in smaller and smaller horses with less natural bone and muscle and therefore no ability to be anything other than a paddock ornament or an occasional hack. Apart from the right combination of genes to begin with, optimal nutrition is paramount in the creation of a sport horse. Our broodmares are fed according to their individual needs and supplemented as necessary and foals are fed appropriate foal starter concentrates from the right age. All regular vaccinations, worming schedules and farrier work are carried out timeously by professionals and are up to date on the entire herd at any given time of the year. All our horses are sold with a first refusal contract, and we also offer a home to any of our horses who for any reason have to be resold or retired by their new owners for whatever reason. We also offer after sales service in that we are always available for advice and assistance with regard to the welfare of our horses. The difference between a ‘horse breeder’ and a ‘horse farmer’ is that the former breeds a very limited number of excellent quality horses giving endless thought to genetics, matches, suitability and, very importantly, market, whilst the latter annually pumps out foals which they do not look after properly, and which are of questionable quality resulting in a glut of too many of the same type of low quality for which there is an ever-declining market. …When only the very best is good enough... ~ We breed for conformation, movement, temperament and pedigree ~ |
